Tablescape Ideas
Table decorations are always fun to put together, they make the dining room feel homey and cozy. Last year I was inspired for my tablescape idea from a black and white buffalo check table runner. I explain that tablescape idea over on our sister site in Beautiful Black and White Fall Tablescape article.

This year I had a little help with inspiration with the fall decor for the table. While my youngest and I were out shopping at Marshall’s one day. We came across this orange table runner which she thought was pretty. It was a bit on the longer side for my table so I folded it a bit in the middle to make it fit our table better.

I like to protect our table as much as I can so this table runner works perfectly under all the simple fall decorations. The next thing we needed to help protect the table and add an extra element to our tablescape was placemats. At first, we were having a hard time finding ones that I like.
We found many that would match the orange table runner just none that sparked my design style. Until we spotted these pretty placemats at our local supercenter store.
Decorations On The Tablescape For Fall
The fall decor for the table was easy to put together once I had a color scheme. Finding decor that matches the color of the table runner was simple. The white pumpkin that is in the middle of the runner I have had for a while.

However, I did add the other two white pumpkins this year. When I was at the At Home store picking up more faux pumpkins for our Fall Porch Decor I spotted these white pumpkins. Wanting to make sure I had enough decorations to fill the table runner I headed to Hobby Lobby and picked up some of their fall picks.
Wanting a little bit of height to the middle of the table but not too much. I place two square candleholders I had at each end of the runner. Then I removed the pick from two orange pumpkins so I could place them on the candleholders.
Once I had the pumpkins all set I started with a layer of silk fall leaves. I enjoy how the leave brings in more of the autumn colors and also how they act as a bedding for the flowers.
Clipping the sunflowers off the bunches that they came on. Allowed me to tuck them around the pumpkins as well as add the amount I wanted. Since they were individual I could bend the stems to give a little bit of high as I layered the different colored flowers together.
Bending the stems of the flowers at different places on the stem gives different heights as well.
Place Setting

With keeping with the simple fall decorations, I decided to keep the place settings simple as well. Using our everyday white plates I added the napkins for a spark of color. When we found the table runner we also found these linen napkins at Marshall’s.
Placing the silverware on top of the napkins finished off the placesettings. Now our dining table is all ready for the fall season.
I hope our tablescape for fall has inspired your fall table decorations in some way.
